And here is further details;
KEPCO
KPS (KEPCO Plant Service and Engineering Co., Ltd.) has selected Genie for
their communication tool in providing nuclear and power plant service at home
and abroad. The main
system of Genie delivered to KEPCO KPS includes Base Station BS1000, Remote
Antenna RA100DW, Ethernet Beltpack IBP10 and Wireless Beltpack BP850.
The
client was looking for a reliable intercom system to replace their old wired
intercom and that can be just adapted and connected to their existing fibre
network environment in their
facility as well as their client’s facility in Dubai. From the
Genie POC(proof of concept) implemented by LaON Technology, LaON could
demonstrate the full connectivity by using their actual network in a plant
without any issue. All the
client’s staffs who have joined the POC tested Genie aggressively and highly
satisfied with Genie’s performance, functions and easy setup and wiring.
The
client was happy with the clear audio quality and PoE daisy chain connection
for the Base Station, Remote Antenna and Ethernet Beltpack. And
preferred a RA100DW Remote Antenna model that provides environmental sealing
case and internal built-in antennas with 2 PoE line out ports considering of
using it in harsh environments. Also,
they especially mentioned that they did actually not expect the connection test
with their fibre network and converter will pass through at once where no
other intercom systems they have been demonstrated in the past went well
smoothly.
Genie
Wireless Beltpacks could cover all the area needed in the plant with only one
antenna thus, client will turn off the RF signal of the Base Station’s end and
fully use the group talk channel buttons including TTA(Talk to All) operation
from the beltpack. And will change the output power level to higher when
they use Genie in outdoor environment.
